My client is a manufacturer and supplier of products into the construction industry. They are a well established and highly reputable company who look after their staff and customers – with a new Sales Manager in place the company are now growing the team with this additional role. You’ll be joining a busy and buzzy department.
This role is largely office based, although there is scope to get out and meet customers and you may need to stay away from home on the odd occasion.
Initially the position will be very new business focused although there are existing contacts for you to manage. Longer term it will have a greater Account Manager element to the role as you then start to look after the client base that you’re grown. You’ll use the available data to identify projects and the person managing them (likely to be architects, surveyors, sub contractors etc), with a view to introducing the company and range of products before closing a deal, managing the sales process and establishing a long term, profitable, relationship.
As this is a ‘specifications’ sales role the requirements of the project and materials required could change at points and you need to someone who can deal with and overcome those changes.
Bonus is uncapped and realistic OTE would be in the region of £35-60k. Other benefits, after qualifying period include pension and healthcare
Full product training will be provided.
We are looking for an experienced sales professional who can demonstrate success in a similar, new business orientated, office based, sales role. We are looking for someone with prior experience in the construction industry and who has ideally had experience in specification sales.
Must have the ability to manage, write and present high quality proposals and sales presentations. Excellent communication and organisational skills with a high degree of professionalism, lots of enthusiasm, self-motivation and a positive outlook.
Strong IT skills are required with experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office a minimum.
