Our client is a leaving firm who have a wide variety of clients and are looking for a Bookkeeper to join their existing team, in their friendly Exmouth offices. You will mainly be office based, but on occasions you may be required to work in client’s offices.
You may be someone who has worked in a practice, has an in-depth knowledge of working in an accounts dept, or been a self employed book-keeper . Your experience in carrying out bookkeeping duties is more important than having formal qualifications.
What will the role of Bookkeeper involve?
Your duties will depend on what the client requires, and will vary according to the what they have requested, but will include:
- Inputting invoices
- Sales and Purchase ledger
- Bank reconciliation
- VAT returns
- Month end
- Card payment reconciliation.
What experience / skills are required for the role of Bookkeeper?
- 2-3 years working experience in a like role
- Can work autonomously
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Very keen for detail
- Clear communication skills
- Experience in SAGE, Xero and or Quickbooks
- Team member.
This role is full time with standard office hours of 8.45am – 5.15pm, however there is some flexibility with this.
